There are times in our lives when, in the rhythm of our lives, we begin to notice unusual emotional states such as aggression, detachment, and apathy. They may arise without any external events and be accompanied by anxiety, which we cannot understand and explain.

We can compare anxiety to body temperature: The rise signals a “disease,” a change.
It often overtakes us in everyday life and can be explained by the fear of the unknown, which, in turn, can be caused by the ancient instinct of self-preservation.
For example, apathy may also be one of these emotional states. When it arises, we close ourselves in: we avoid new opportunities, protect ourselves, seek refuge, trying to conserve energy.
We become fearful because what used to be enjoyable is now irritating; what used to be interesting becomes boring.
We are transitioning into a new state that is unfamiliar to us.
During each transition, something dies, and there is room for something new. Everything in nature is cyclical, and every state has a beginning and an end.
There is an inner conflict between the desire to move on and preserving what we have in such a period. Important existential questions arise before us:
- Who am I?
- Why me?
- What am I for?
A person’s life beyond the normal state prepares many challenges. Finding the strength and accepting oneself is a long and detailed journey for every person.
So how to cope with it? How not to get lost and not get bogged down?
First, it is essential to recognize this transformational state and give ourselves time to experience the emotions that have arisen naturally. If we miss this moment, if we close ourselves off, then anxiety can come back again and again, trying to draw our attention back to our inner state.
In the fast pace of the modern city, it is not easy to pause and listen to ourselves, to connect with our feelings, which can sometimes be very intense. We are afraid to bring our feelings out and ask ourselves questions such as: What if I get bogged down in this state and can’t get out of it? Or: I can’t afford to be weak and vulnerable right now.
Such attitudes interfere with the natural process of living out feelings, which only exacerbates the situation of acceptance. At this turning point, we especially need the support of a loved one or the help of a qualified professional who will permit us or be there to help us translate adaptation anxiety into conscious fear.
It is essential to understand that emotions are a specific internal energy resource that helps to trigger the transformation process.
Each emotion that arises has a right to exist, and behind each emotion is a critical need.
But only by walking this difficult path and living our emotions will we be able to find inner freedom and take a step toward a new experience.
