When I saw you, I knew it was going to be good. You had that twinkle in your eye and a smile on your face that told me everything I needed to know. And when we laughed together, I knew it would be great. God gave me this gift of being able to laugh with you; for that, I will always be grateful.
You have a way of making me laugh, even when life has been challenging. You always find the time and space for humor, which helps lighten my heart. Your laughter is contagious and brings so much joy into our home! I know that no matter what life throws at us, I will always have you to make me laugh and enjoy every bit of it.
1. It’s something that happens every day.
You always know when to joke around with me, even on tough days. Parenting is never easy, whether dealing with the less savory aspects or trying to communicate an important life lesson to my child. You often joke strategically when things aren’t easy, whether I was cleaning up vomit or trying to share some vital truth. Or something I cooked that I imagined would be deliciously turned out to be inedible.
2. It’s a gift from God.
You are glowing from the inside out, and all I can do – is be thankful to God that I am the jelly to your peanut butter. You bring light into my life and make everyone around you smile, no matter what.
You sprinkle a little of your light by sharing that humor and those shy eyes everywhere you go – from our children to their friends to strangers in supermarkets.
3. Laughter is the best medicine.
Your laughter brings joy to my life, and I’m thankful for that. No matter what life throws at us, I can always rely on it to improve things. As long as we have each other, everything will be alright.
