“Do I Look Fat in This Dress?”: How Men Need to Answer the Scary Questions From Women?

I feel sorry for men on occasion. Women put them in a no-win situation. They ask men questions that they believe are simple, even though they know they are difficult. And if they don’t respond the way women want, they use it as an opportunity to quarrel. What are they waiting for?

Men, if you don’t know how to answer questions like this correctly, here are little tips.

1. Accept that women communicate differently than men.

You may not be used to asking many questions, but that does not mean your communication style is better – it’s different. Men are used to solving problems, and women are used to exploring and sharing emotions. For men, communication is a means to find a solution. For women, communication is the goal itself.

2. Tune in to the wave of feelings.

It will help you respond with kindness. It’s not a weakness; it’s a consideration and caring. That’s what women expect from you.

3. Learn to listen.

Often, a woman doesn’t need help with the issue she’s complaining about; she needs to be listened to. Please don’t rush to conclusions and look for a way out; ask clarifying questions about her feelings, and let her know you want to understand her.

4. Don’t try to solve problems.

Avoid giving advice or solving problems unless the woman asks for it directly. She needs an outlet for her emotions; she needs to vent.

5. Look for the subtext.

When a woman asks a man a question, it’s usually not about what it says. So it would help if you learned to look for a subtext—for example, the question.

“Do I look fat in this dress?”

It’s frequently that she misses your attention and assurances of your love and her beauty. The best answer is, “Of course not.” And if you think she is, don’t say so outright, but suggest the outfit you like better on her.

“Do you think she’s prettier than me?”

The correct answer, of course, is “no.” If she catches you staring at someone else, tell her that you’ve realized that no one is prettier than your woman!

“Do I look like my mother?”

It is a difficult question and depends on why she’s asking and their relationship with her mother. Just think before you answer.

“What are you thinking about?”

Unless you were thinking something awful at that moment, be honest. If a woman doesn’t like the answer, she’ll stop asking. Or maybe the answer will help her realize how funny and funny you are (yes, we’re suspicious of your silly thoughts).

“What don’t you like about me?”

It is a trap. This question is often asked before or during an argument. Could you not rush to list her faults? Better to refrain and compliment her. For example: “You’re perfect for me; I love everything about you.” That’s cute and brings a potential fight to a standstill.

“How do I look?”

Most importantly, book at her carefully before answering and use more than 1 or 2 words in your answer.

“Did you notice anything?”

You can start to panic. And yes, women know that you don’t notice small changes well. But the correct answer is only possible when you learn to see them.

“Are you listening to me?”

Two options: “Yes” and repeat her last words, “No,” and give a reason  And there better be more first choices.

“Do you like my friends/family?”

You better be honest but not rude. You can say you like like friends and family, but you don’t have much in common,

“What’s between us?”

It is one of the scariest questions. Congratulations, your woman is ready for the next step. But don’t lie back. If you’re not ready, say so and argue it. Just don’t mess with her head.

You have to learn to feel your woman and understand her. Then these uncomfortable questions will be comfortable for you. And maybe the woman will stop asking them altogether. After all, she is asking you this because she wants to check how you think about her.
