We all experience stress at some point in our lives. Several things, such as work, money problems, or health issues, can cause it. When left unresolved, stress can hurt both our mental and physical health.
We will discuss eight stress-relieving practices that have helped me personally.

If you are struggling with stress, I hope these tips will help you find some relief!
1. If you are feeling angry, it can be easy to get caught up in that emotion and let your energy drain away.
Instead, try to find some phrases that will help bring you back down: “I will cope,” “This won’t knock me out of the rut,” or “It will all be over soon.” Remember: everything is in your head!!!
2. Writing out your emotions can be a great way to get them off your chest and clear your head.
This doesn’t have to mean writing a rant—just writing down some of your thoughts on paper can help you move past the emotion. I’ve written many such letters. Each time they became smaller and smaller. My anger also became smaller. They helped me to talk through all my “bad moments,” not with my voice but with a pen on paper.
3. Asking yourself what your nervous system needs can be a great way to figure out how best to calm down.
For example, I desire to go outside and walk around for a bit or eat something sweet. Taking time for yourself and focusing on your body’s needs is essential in relieving stress.
4. Meditation and yoga are two beautiful ways to bring yourself back into balance.
These practices have benefited your physical and mental health, so you can incorporate them if you feel stressed. Download the app on your phone or turn on meditation on YouTube.
5. Dancing is a great way to relieve stress!
Whether in an online dance class or your living room, dancing can get some of that tension out of your body. I signed up for a bachata with my wife. It was my best decision!
6. Laughter is a fantastic way to help relieve stress.
Watching a funny movie or TV show can help you relax and put things into perspective.
7. Singing has also been proven to be great for relieving stress.
Even if you don’t consider yourself a singer, I was belting out your favorite songs can be soothing and help you move past the emotion. Going to karaoke was too much for me. But I bought a microphone, and I often sing at home. After that, my condition is much better!
8. Finally, if you feel overwhelmed and need a break from it all, take some time to go outside and enjoy nature.
Walking or sitting in your backyard can significantly improve your mood and help you with distress. I have dogs, so when I walk them, I also calm down. The main thing is to catch the vibe of calm.
I hope these stress-relieving practices have helped you in some way. Remember, you are never alone, and help is always available if you require it! Taking care of yourself and your mental health is essential, especially during hard times.
It’s also essential to ensure you are taking care of yourself and your mental health – getting enough rest, eating healthy, and exercising regularly can all help reduce stress levels. Above all else, remember that you are not alone in hard times and that with the proper support, anything is possible!
